I was exploring substack and put ‘diabetes’ in to the search bar, you appeared on top of the list. Being T1D and my personal interest for Dao made me very curious about who you are, so I started listening to your podcast. Thank you for sharing, I like it a lot. Greetings from Amsterdam!

I’m happy for you and enjoy your podcast

You may have already answered but I’m interested in how and what you eat daily

Is it something that you’re able to share here?

Thank goodness you post this

Hi Leigh! Thanks so much for listening. I try to eat a low carb diet but I don't always succeed! On a good day that means mostly vegetables, some whole grains, and a lot of protein. It's easiest when I cook! I find it tougher when I eat out... Best, Bryan

Thanks I have trouble eating in general because I don’t have my lower teeth but vegetables and cooked fruits are easy. I also eat tofu and mashed potatoes although the potatoes are carbs right?

Thanks for any tips or suggestions

An illuminating podcast about Type 1 Diabetes, and so much more.

Thank you for sharing your story about the physical and psychological pressures of living with diabetes. It was useful to learn how to support people in our lives who have this condition.

I was fascinated by the discussion about the importance of taking account of lived experience in medical diagnoses, and the more general point about combining embodied experience with intellectual learning. I would love to hear more podcasts like this.

Hi Bryan I’m always glad to chat with you. Thanks for responding. I’m really poor with technology but continuing to try. You have been through so much In your life with your health. I continue to admire you. Being atheist, I try to focus on how I can improve myself through meditation and other avenues that are not atherial.

Silly question: will I be able to purchase your book easily 📕 through this website?

So many things I would like to chat about with you. Nutrition and psychology are two of my degrees, but writing has always been my forte so perhaps some day I will publish something.my own health issues have allowed me to excuse myself from actually being responsible lol
